Friends, I think that ascetic life is not mandatory to attain moksha. Even staying good in life, being spiritual and doing good deeds also makes one equal to Hermit-hood.
However, it is very fast process to attain moksha if one is living an ascetic life as all confusions and hurdles to the path of Nirvana gets eliminated very easily.
All great spiritual beings who has ever lived on planet earth like Guru Nanak, Buddha, Jesus attained Godly wisdom and enlightenment after living an ascetic life.
The person who stays in the world but remains detached from the worldly pleasures created by Maya is equal to Saint-hood.
When person lives an ascetic life or a life of Hermit or Yogi, then he or she has to live a life with great discipline and carefulness. It is not everyone’s cup of tea to live such a life as it has lot of hardships, physically and mentally.
Here I would like to mention that if one is following certain Guru or Spiritual Master and has devoted his or her life to the blessings of Guru or True Master then the ascetic life is easy to live as Guru himself or herself guides that person who really wants to progress in the path of spirituality and attain Moksha in the end.
In Ascetic life, the main part of daily routine of a Yogi or Hermit is spent in Meditation by doing Mantar Jaap and Prayers which connects that Yogi to ultimate reality of life which is 1 TRUE GOD.
Friends, attaining Moksha or Enlightenment is not easy and needs lot of efforts and patience.
I would like to mention in the end that the information shared on this blog is inspired by my personal intuitive belief system and experience in life.
At last, I would leave all my readers with this quote ie. “SAINTHOOD IS THAT PRECIOUS JEWEL WHICH NOT EVERYONE WEARS BUT THE ONE WHO WEARS IT IS BLESSED BY GOD ITSELF.”
