Some Holy texts believe in the existence of soul or spirit after the death of all living beings. Even the animals are also believed to possess souls or spirits as per some spiritual texts. Many religious texts consider soul to be immortal and close to non-material sphere of God’s creation.
However, science does not believes in the existence of souls and spirits and consider the concept of souls as imaginary as it is hard to prove the physical existence of souls. It is highly debatable topic ie. What is the significance of Soul or Spirit.
Friends, till date it is unknown fact i.e. The existence of souls after the death of the person. Souls could be made of energy type subatomic particles or vibrational stuff which no scientific instrument on earth can detect or be developed as the current know-how of science is quite limited.
There are many scientists and philosophers who think that what we see is what exists in reality and what we don’t see is beyond the reach of our physical world and therefore that non-physical entities should be ignored and is irrelevant. On the other hand, there lived many great saints and spiritual people who believed in the existence of life after death and always believed that death is not the end of the journey of soul or spirit who travels even after the destruction of physical body to reach the ultimate truth ie. God or Moksha. Moksha is considered as the final stage of any soul or spirit after the death of any person according to the karmic footprints which one get by living a life on the planet earth. Gautam Buddha taught the best lesson of NIRVANA through spiritual enlightenment of soul or spirit of living body.
At last I would say that “SIGNIFICANCE OF SOUL IS HARD TO FORGET AND IS VERY IMPORTANT, IF IT’S EXISTENCE CAN ONE DAY BE PROVED BY STUDYING THE ADVANCED CONCEPTS OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY.”
